Making sand castles

Making sand castles

It was a lovely fall day!
We took the Squink to the park and played in the sand. Since it is often on the warmer side here we went to the one that has a water spout in the middle of the sand pit. We taught him how to make a sand castle, which he devoted non stop attention to for over 45 minutes. As a matter of fact, we had to force him to leave, he probably would have spent more time making them.
We lured him away just as the local trolley stopped at the park, so we climbed aboard and rode the neighborhood circuit as well as the downtown one.
When we got home we did a little around the house and I made some of the best grilled ham and cheese sandwiches ever!
All in all it was a rather enjoyable and relaxed day.
I needed it.

  1. He looks so grown up in the picture. Btw, those are my favorite kind of days!
