I put it there because I think there is an element of truth, mainly in that it is perverse (I do not think of myself as wearisome as often as that may suggest) and it is my tendency to make points to hold people accountable for their actions of statements.
This all started when I once explained to someone how I really identified with the quote "I am a citizen, not of Athens, nor of Greece, but of the world"... I was called trite by the person I was speaking with. There has been a bit of schadenfreude as this person is now beginning to understand what I meant.. though I will say that they are completely unable to as they will never be able to achieve the same sense of being and expatriot as I am.
