Random thoughts
When you've been in 6 countries on three continents before you're 5 years old... the world, as you see it, starts to seem like it's very, very small... and that never goes away.
When you have a place to call home that resonates with your personhood, where your ancestors recently walked, that you feel linked to by your own birth as well, then it is ok if the world seems large. I am grateful for how small it feels, it gives me a deep sense of place.
