Heathrow, terminal 5
OK, so I am going to try and blog the trip. In some form of order.
ha.
We first landed in the UK on our venture to the "other side of the pond". We even made it to that crazy place that is known as the new terminal five... and all those stories you may have heard... well, they do not do this terminal justice.
We did not, however, lose any luggage.
We did, though, get searched twice (as a standard procedure).
We also, had to wait for our gate to be posted... now I know this is not all that unusual... but I have a tendency to be a bit obsessive about not missing flights.. but the thing is that they only tell you where your gate is about 20 minutes before the gate closes... which SUCKS, especially when traveling with small children (I realize that I may be making excuses here). We also paid $30 for coffee, juice (x2) and ONE bowl of oatmeal.
More pictures taken with a crazy lens that makes Squink and I look somewhat like aliens from another universe and of terminal 5 at flickr

An open letter to my mother.
Thank you.
Sometimes, I think William of Ockham had it right. To tell you "thank you" without defining all that for which I am thankful to you for seems so much more appropriate and true. To set it with the limitations of all that you have done for me does not do my gratitude for you and your actions any justice as they were always so much more than that.
Thank you.

I hate flying...
I, or rather, we just returned from a trip to visit Schatz's family in Austria. Albeit it was for more formal purposes than that of a vacation.
His parents, as you may have read... celebrated 50 years with an official ceremony.
Prior to which; the Squink had an official ceremony.
We took a side trip to Hungary were I saw some friends... several actually.
I had a good time.
A bitty taste of the over 600 pictures we have is another installment of my "life imitates art" shtick
